The Secret RF procedure

On the day of your Secret RF microneedling treatment, your practitioner will apply a topical numbing cream to the treatment area first. This will ensure you feel comfortable throughout.

Once the skin is ready, we will pass the Secret RF device gently across the treatment area. The tiny needles will create microchannels in the skin, while also delivering the RF energy to the deeper layers.

The whole treatment process should take around 30-60 minutes to complete. This will depend on the area being treated and what skin concerns you are looking to address.

What to expect after your Secret RF Microneedling treatment

Immediately after Secret RF

After your microneedling treatment, you may see some mild redness and slight swelling in the treated area. This will feel similar to light sunburn.

This is completely normal, and your skin will return to normal within 24-72 hours.

Gradual improvements to your skin

You will begin to see improvements in your skin tone and skin texture two weeks after your treatment.

As new collagen and elastin production starts, your skin will continue to improve over the next few weeks and months.

You can expect firmer skin, a smoother skin texture, and less visible scarring.

Side effects

With Secret RF treatment, the side effects are minimal. You may experience some mild redness, swelling and skin sensitivity in the treatment area.

To support skin healing and ensure you achieve optimal results, we recommend that you:

•       Avoid touching your face or wearing make up for 24 hours
•       Keep your skin hydrated
•       Avoid direct sun exposure, hot showers and excessive heat for 72 hours
•       Avoid any active skin ingredients such as retinol for first 5-7 days
•       From day 2 you can use a gentle cleanser and moisturiser that focuses on skin hydration and barrier health.
•       Always wear SPF daily (at least factor 30)

Follow-up appointments

To ensure you see optimal results, we usually recommend a course of 3-4 Secret RF microneedling treatments.  These will be spaced 4-6 weeks apart.

We also recommend that you have a top-up treatment every 12 months to ensure your skin stays looking radiant and youthful.
