You may experience some mild swelling, redness and bruising around the injection sites for 24-48 hours. This is normal and will go down naturally. 

The downtime is minimal with anti-wrinkle injections, so you can go back to work immediately. The treatment area may feel tender, so it is important to take care of your skin. 

Anti-wrinkle treatment aftercare advice

To help you see optimal results and allow your skin to heal, we recommend the following aftercare advice:

First few hours

•       Do not touch or rub the treatment area
•       Stay upright and do not lie down for the first 4-6 hours
•       Do not use over exaggerated expression in the first few hours

First 24 hours

•       Avoid strenuous activity such as heavy lifting or gym exercise
•       No alcohol for 24 hours to prevent any further bruising
•       Avoid hot baths, showers and saunas
•       No make-up for the first 4-24 hours to stop infection in the injection sites

Next few days

•       Only use gentle cleansers and skincare production for at least the first few days
•       Always wear adequate sun protection (at least factor 50)

You will require a top-up appointment every 3-4 months to maintain your smooth and youthful skin.
