What is HydraFacial?

HydraFacial is not just your average skincare treatment. It is a medical grade skin resurfacing treatment that deeply cleanses, exfoliates and hydrates your skin.

It uses advanced vortex-fusion technology to provide a powerful six-step treatment that gives you instant results in as little as one session.

Despite its power, it is also gentle on the skin, which makes it one of the only effective facial treatments to work on sensitive skin types, including those with rosacea.

HydraFacial treatment includes:

  • Cleansing and exfoliation
  • A mild chemical exfoliant
  • Vacuum extraction of blackheads from the pores
  • Deep hydration for customised active ingredients

At Time Clinic, we also incorporate LED light therapy to help soothe and calm inflammation, and boost collagen in the skin.

In just one treatment, you can see clearer, smoother, and healthier-looking skin.

Benefits of HydraFacial

HydraFacial treatment is known for being a versatile skin treatment that can address multiple skin concerns and support:

  • Exfoliation – to remove dead skin cells and unclog blocked pores
  • Deep hydration – use hyaluronic acid and other antioxidants to plump and brighten skin
  • Anti-ageing benefits – including reducing fine lines and wrinkles, and improved skin elasticity
  • Improve skin tone – by reducing pigmentation issues and clearing the skin
  • Smoother skin texture – helping to reduce mild acne scarring and stretch marks
  • Long-term skin health – making skin stronger, more resilient, and more youthful over time

HydraFacial treatment is suitable for all skin types, including acne-prone skin, older skin, and sensitive skin. This makes it a safe and effective treatment for anyone to try.

With immediate results, no downtime, and a treatment that can take as little as 30 minutes, it’s no wonder it is trusted by celebrities such as Paris Hilton, Jennifer Lopez and Beyonce.

How Does HydraFacial Work?

The HydraFacial follows a patented six-step process to improve skin quality and skin health.

1.    Detox

We use a lymphatic drainage massage to improve blood circulation, remove toxins, and promote healthier skin function.

2.    Exfoliation

We use a gentle vacuum device to remove dead skin cells from the surface of the skin. This helps to uncover a fresh layer of skin.

3.    Brightening peel

A light acid peel consisting of a blend of glycolic and salicylic acids help to open pores and remove any debris.

4.    Extraction

Step four involves using a vortex system to extract blackheads and any other impurities from the skin.

5.    Hydration

We apply a mix of hyaluronic acid, antioxidants and peptides to boost hydration in the skin. This solution will be tailored to your specific skin type and skin issues.

6.    Skin rejuvenation

The final step uses LED light therapy (red light) to soothe the skin and calm any inflammation. Red light can also help increase collagen and elastin production.

If you have acne-prone skin, we can also offer blue light therapy, which helps to kill acne-causing bacteria and reduce oily skin.

HydraFacial treatment areas

There are a number of areas we can use HydraFacial to treat, including:

  • Full face – for overall skin rejuvenation and to tackle fines lines, dullness, congestion and pigmentation
  • Neck and Décolletage – to improve skin tone and skin texture, and firm the delicate skin in these areas
  • Back – to help reduce skin congestion and acne (back acne)
  • Hands – to boost hydration, reduce age spots, and improve skin texture
  • Eyes – to brighten the skin around the under eye area

During your consultation, your practitioner will advise you on where you will get the most out of HydraFacial treatment based on your skin goals.

HydraFacial: before and after results

In just one treatment session, you can expect to see improved skin texture, hydration and over radiance.

You may require a course of treatment to tackle wrinkles, sun damage and to reduce scarring.

At Time Clinic, we focus on tailoring HydraFacial treatment to your skin type, so that you see natural-looking results.

We look to treat the source of your skin concerns rather than masking them, in order to improve overall skin quality and health.

The HydraFacial experience at Time Clinic

Every patient starts with a personalised skin consultation at one of our east London clinics.  This enables one of our practitioners to assess your skin condition and concerns, so that we can create a bespoke treatment plan for you.

The procedure is relaxing and comfortable, with most patients describing them as pain-free.

Your practitioner will follow the six-step process that includes cleansing, exfoliating, extracting and hydrating.

You can expect your treatment to last around 30-60 minutes, which makes it ideal for anyone with a busy schedule.

You will leave our clinic with brighter and more hydrated skin that glows.

Whether you are having one HydraFacial treatment, or a course of treatments, we will also recommend a good skincare routine to follow. This will ensure you continue to look after your skin and help your results last longer.

What to expect after HydraFacial treatment

There is no downtime with HydraFacial treatment, so you can return to work and your normal activities right away.

Your skin will look more refreshed and hydrated.

Aftercare advice

  •       Avoid sun exposure for the first 48 hours
  •       Always wear sun protection (at least factor 30 or 50)
  •       Only use gentle skincare products for the first 48 hours (no retinol or acids)
  •       Do not expose your skin to excessive heat including showers, saunas or steam rooms for 48 hours.
  •       Do keep your skin hydrated and drink plenty of water

For optimal results, we recommend regular HydraFacial treatments every 4-6 weeks. This will also support long-term skin health.

Timing and frequency is important to pairing treatments, which we will discuss with you at your consultation.

Some of the most popular combinations include:

Microneedling – a HydraFacial can cleanse and prep the skin before having microneedling. This can help improve absorption of products and healing rate.

Laser treatment – your HydraFacial will boost skin hydration, which can help to improve the effectiveness of the laser for treating an uneven skin tone and skin texture.

Anti-wrinkle injections – usually a week after HydraFacial to help further reduce fine lines and wrinkles

Dermal fillers – you can get a HydraFacial a week before dermal fillers to provide a more smooth and even surface for the injections to go in.

HydraFacial’s complement fillers by improving skin health while fillers add volume and definition to the skin.
