The SKINVIVE procedure
One the day of your SKINVIVE treatment, we will:
- Cleanse your skin to remove any dirt or debris
- We may apply a topical anaesthetic numbing cream to the treatment area to ensure you feel minimal discomfort
- Your doctor or practitioner will inject a series hyaluronic acid microdroplets into the cheek area
In total, your treatment session should take 20-30 minutes.
We will apply a soothing cream to the injection sites afterwards to help reduce any redness and swelling.

Aftercare
To get the most out of your treatment and achieve optimal results, we recommend you:
- Avoid wearing make-up for 24 hours
- Avoid any strenuous exercise and activity for 24 hours
- Not drink alcohol for 24 hours
- Avoid excessive heat (hot shower, steam rooms and saunas) for 48 hours
- Avoid sun exposure for at least 24 hours (always wear sun protection)
Follow-up appointments
Most patients can expect their results to last for up to six months.
Results will vary from person-to-person, and can be affected by your skin type, lifestyle and skincare routine.
To ensure long-lasting results, we recommend that patients come back in for maintenance treatments at around the 4-6 month mark.

How do I prepare for my SKINVIVE appointment?
We recommend avoiding alcohol and blood-thinning medications for 1-2 weeks before your appointment. This will help to reduce any bruising.
On the day of your SKINVIVE appointment, please arrive at the clinic with a clean, make-up free face. You should also avoid using any harsh active ingredients or skin peels a few days before treatment.
