Wrinkles

The defining difference between fine lines and wrinkles, is that lines tend to be very mild and wrinkles will tend to me more deeply set. Though largely undesirable, wrinkles are sometimes referred to as character lines, or expression lines and sadly, they are largely unavoidable in the long term.

Within our lifestyle choices, we can take steps to help slow or prevent the appearance of wrinkles, by staying well hydrated, choosing a healthy diet, getting plenty of rest and quality sleep and limiting alcohol intake and direct exposure to the sun.
Wrinkles at some stage of our lives though, are inevitable, as they are primarily caused by the natural loss of collagen and elastin in the skin, along with the reduction in subcutaneous fats which sit just beneath the skin’s surface helping keep the appearance of the skin plumped and smooth. Wrinkle relaxing injections, and dermal fillers are both very safe and effective ways to treat wrinkles, with ongoing management by way of medical grade skin care and good hydration at home.
