Skin Tags

Skin tags, medically known as acrochordons, are harmless skin growths that appear as small, soft, skin-colored, or darker outgrowths. They can form almost anywhere on the body but are most commonly found in areas where the skin folds or experiences friction, such as the neck, armpits, groin, under the breasts, or eyelids.

The exact cause of skin tags is still unknown, but they are believed to develop due to skin rubbing against skin or clothing. This is why they are commonly found in skin fold areas. Certain factors might increase the risk of developing skin tags, such as age, genetics, obesity and hormonal changes. Also certain medical conditions like diabetes and insulin resistance may also increase the risk of developing skin tags.

From the moment I booked my appointment right through to having a treatment I have been impressed with the professionalism of the Time Clinic, everyone I have encountered is friendly and welcoming. I initially booked a skin consultation and I was fascinated by the results and the way Dr Victoria talked through my results with me. There was no pressure to book any treatments following this but after receiving all the information via email from my consultation I decided there were a few things I wanted to pursue. I was quite nervous before my treatment but Dr Victoria really made me feel at ease. Its early days but so far I am impressed with the results and will definitely return. I feel in safe hands with The Time Clinic.
