Bump on the Nose
A misshapen nose is often referred to as a bump on the nose, crooked nose or dorsal hump.
A bump on the nose can be either hereditary, often becoming more pronounced as a person’s features develop into adulthood, or due to injury where the disruption in formation of calcium deposits leaves a bump on the surface of the bridge of the nose. Being as the nose is the central focus of the face, a misshapen nose can cause a face to appear less than perfectly balanced, and the patient to become self conscious, or embarrassed by its appearance.
Thankfully, there is no longer the necessity to invest in expensive, invasive surgery to correct this common condition. There are now a variety of non-invasive alternatives, which give an instant improvement with no downtime. This includes non-surgical rhinoplasty – the use of dermal fillers to even out the structure of the nose, and correct it’s appearance, creating a more aesthetically pleasing definition.
