About East London
East London is an area that is commonly thought to take in a number of London boroughs – Barking & Dagenham, Hackney, Havering, Newham, Redbridge, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest.
The concept of East London as a defined region in its own right is relatively recent and its emergence as an area in its own right is shown through developments such as East London having its own radio station as of 2013.
