Sagging Skin
Sagging skin is a natural part of the ageing process, and is largely caused by the skin reducing its production of it’s natural hydrator, elastin, which gives it its ability to “bounce back”, coupled with the reduction of collagen production and subcutaneous fat under the skin which causes volume loss.
This process usually begins in your twenties, but the effects may not become apparent until your thirties or even your forties. Your lifestyle choices will have an impact on the speed at which your skin ages, as smoking, sun exposure and poor diet and hydration will all give life to ageing process.
Sagging skin can also be as a result of weight loss, whereby the skin has become stretched over an extended period of time, and is no longer able to restore itself to its tighter, more youthful state.
At Time Clinic, we are able to help reverse the symptoms of sagging skin, by rehydrating, plumping, firming and lifting the skin through the use of both Dermal Fillers and the Profhilo treatment, which has seen excellent results for sagging, dehydrated skin.
