Spider veins, are also known as thread veins or broken capillaries, and are are enlarged vessels which are visible through the skin most often noticed on the face and legs, and occasionally on the stomach following pregnancy. They are recognised by their red or purple appearance, and take the shape of thin lines or vessels that often appear in clusters, and resemble thin spider legs just below the surface of the skin. They are closer to the surface of the skin than normal veins, making them appear more prominent.

When the face is affected by spider veins, you will most frequently notice them around the nose, on the cheeks and sometimes the chin. Spider veins are completely harmless, but can over-grow as a response to long-term inflammation of the skin, and are often the result of sun exposure, trauma to the skin and the intake of alcohol and medication. At Time Clinic we can safely and effectively treat the appearance of spider veins.

["post-269","condition","type-condition","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry
